Kathy Evans IWD

For this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD), TIA staff raised awareness for the global day of celebrating the achievements of women by expressing their commitment to diversity and equality. Staff posed doing the ‘Each for Equal’ sign, with a pledge featured next to their photo.

Since 1975, IWD has been a global day of celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and calls to action the acceleration of women’s equality. ‘Each for Equal’ is the idea that collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world.

The significance of IWD has intensified in recent years with a greater focus on practical measures to reduce the gender gap, especially in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

TIA is committed to creating and supporting a diverse and equitable workplace, with gender equity being a key element of this. TIA aims to reduce any gender barriers staff may face in advancing their careers across all disciplines.
