TIA is contributing to the development of the Australian red meat industry, as a Principal Research Organisation for Microbial Ecology and Physiology (PROMEP).
Our research team has started a 'Meaty Micro Matters' blog to provide the Australian red meat industry with research updates on two major projects: shelf life extension and antimicrobial interventions.
These research projects are funded and managed by Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) with financial support from the Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC).
A free and confidential Shelf Life Prediction Service for vacuum-packaged meat is also available.
