Collaborative and evidence-based research supporting police decision making: An interview with our Director

TILES has a long-standing and successful relationship with the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management (DPFEM). DPFEM has a strong commitment to evidence-based policing and has continually supported TILES to conduct research that improves the quality of law enforcement and enhances community safety in Tasmania and nationally.

The founding Director of TILES, Professor Roberta Julian, was recently interviewed about the strengths of the partnership with Tasmania Police and the involvement of TILES academics in the professionalisation of policing through research and teaching excellence. She also discusses her involvement in the Institute, her own commitment to achieving better social and criminal justice outcomes for all Tasmanians, and her focus on achieving change through collaboration.
