Dicranoloma menziesii is a common moss with a widespread distribution
in Tasmania. It grows as loose turfs on rocks, logs and trees in wet
forest and rainforest.
The leaves are thin and long, reaching almost 1.5cm. The capsules
are borne on short stalks.
D. menziesii is most easily confused with
Holomitrium
trichopodum but may be distinguished by having larger leaves
(over 0.9cm) and having teeth on the leaf margins throughout the
upper part of the leaf.
