Tasmania has
eight native species of Spyridium (Dusty millers). Spyridium is
sometimes confused with
Pomaderris, but Spyridium species have petals that
form tiny hoods over the stamens. These range from low
prostrate shrubs to tall erect shrubs. Most species have flowers in
heads surrounded by bracts that are often covered in white or rusty
hairs.
