Posidonia
australis (seagrass) is moderately common sea grass, found below high-tide
level in northern Tasmania. The leave are flattened, up to 60 cm
long and 5-10 mm wide, parallel-sided, arranged in two rows up the
stem and with a more-or-less rounded apex. Other genera of
seagrasses include Amphibolus,
Halophila and
Posidonia. |
