Gleichenia microphylla (Gleicheniaceae)

Gleichenia microphylla (scrambling coral fern) is a common native groundfern that grows in wet peaty sites under open forest canopies. It has the typical Gleichenia foliage, which is repeatedly dichotomously divided before ending in pinnate laminas. The distinctive feature is that the sori are not in deep pouches as in G. dicarpa.
