The project will deliver a national program of extension to increase the adoption of precision agriculture systems for vegetable growers and increase on farm productivity and profitability.

The target audience for this project is agricultural stakeholders in the supply chain, including farmers, agronomists, field officers, contractors, and agri-business.

Aims of the project:

This project commenced in 2017, working with collaborating growers and relevant service providers in a number of states. The approach taken will differ between states as different regions are at different stages of progress and adoption in relation to Precision Agriculture technologies and application.

Queensland and Tasmania are currently viewed as being the most advanced in this sphere. Activities will include collection of baseline data layers, implementation of yield monitoring and mapping and demonstration of how data layers can be used to aid decision making.
