International Artist in Residence Mark Graver presents print works, correspondences and connections responding to his stay in Hobart. The works focus primarily on the area of old Wapping and the Hobart Rivulet exploring historical and personal links to place, memory and time.
Mark Graver’s exhibition is opening in conjunction with the Orogeny Print exhibition and symposium to be held on Saturday 10th September.
The symposium to discuss the processes and possibilities of Print will be held in the Plimsoll Gallery at the Tasmanian College of the Arts, Hunter St, Hobart. Several keynote speakers will present provocations and reflections on their practices in order to stimulate dialogue on what role print can play in the broader community into the future. What needs to be put in place to allow these interventions to occur?
Orogeny is included in the Print Council’s Year Of Print 2016 calendar of events, a nationwide celebration of the PCA’s 50th anniversary.
