Study in Launceston
The University of Tasmania's Northern campuses consist of the Newnham campus and the Inveresk campus.
Newnham is a spacious campus overlooking the stunning Tamar River. It's also just a short drive to Launceston's city centre. Home to the Australian Maritime College, Newnham offers world-leading marine simulation and teaching facilities.
Expansion and repurposing work is underway at Newnham to create a vibrant mixed-use precinct.
Our Inveresk Campus is conveniently located near the inner city, alongside the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. It’s home to our Architecture, Fine Arts, Design, and Theatre and Performance programs, as well as our Academy Gallery and the Inveresk Apartments.
New Inveresk Precinct
We are currently building an exciting new campus in Launceston. This will be a vibrant place where the University, community, schools and businesses can connect and collaborate. The first of our new buildings will be open in 2022.
Other learning venues
In addition to our main Launceston campuses, classes are also taught in smaller dedicated facilities around the city. The Launceston Clinical School delivers medical student training, and support research.
