Here and Elsewhere: New acquisitions from the UTAS Fine Art Collection

Here & Elsewhere comprises of over eighty artworks, some by key Tasmanian artists who have forged international reputations and sustained careers over decades.

Acquired over the past three years for their distinctive Tasmanian themes and sensibilities, each artwork also reflects universal preoccupations.

Artists: Raymond Arnold, Philip Blacklow, Pat Brassington, Wayne Brookes, Robert Emerson Curtis, Ruth Frost, Patrick Hall, Owen Gower Lade, Judith Klavins, Milan Milojevic, Joan Ross, Heather B. Swann and Lucia Usmiani.

Curators: Dr Maria Kunda and Rachael Rose

To be opened by Professor Rufus Black, Vice-Chancellor, University of Tasmania

Opening event: Wed 4 Sept, 5.00 – 6:30 pm
Exhibition dates: Sat 31 Aug – Thurs 19 Sept

Gallery Hours: Wed - Sun 12pm - 5pm (during exhibitions)
Closed Mondays, Tuesdays and Public holidays.
