About the exhibition:
Glossolalia (the phenomenon of apparently speaking in an unknown language) is a two-part exhibition that features four national art practitioners, each creating a distinctive, yet harmonic experience through time-based media.
Glossolalia (pt. 1) is a selection of seven artworks by leading Tasmanian time-based media artist Matt Warren. Curated by Colin Langridge part 1 will explore conceptual and aesthetic threads of connection between Matt’s earlier explorations in video and sound, and more contemporary technology.
Glossolalia (pt. 2) is a gathering of three artists who play with the “hidden” or “obscured” in their work, the exposure of an occult of images and sound. Curated by Matt Warren, part 2 features the work of Gail Priest, Sean Bacon and Abbie Calvert.
Curated by Dr Colin Langridge and Dr Matt Warren.
