Grad Show 2022: Hobart
The University of Tasmania's School of Creative Arts and Media invites you to a visual arts exhibition of graduating undergraduate and Honours student work. Spread across three floors of our Hunter Street Centre for the Arts and Plimsoll Gallery, experience and celebrate the incredible creativity of our graduating cohort, featuring new works by over 80 students across Photography, Painting, Drawing and Printmaking, Object and Furniture, Sculpture and Time-Based Media.
Grad Show Exhibition Opening
Friday 4th November 5:30pm - 8:00pm
- Featuring food trucks, live music, awards and presentations join us for the annual exhibition opening party. Registrations essential, click here to RSVP.
Exhibition Opening Hours
Saturday 5th - Saturday 12th November, open 11:00am - 4:00pm daily. No registration required.
College and Secondary School Field Trips
11:00am – 12:30pm or 1:00pm – 2:30pm via registration only
- Students and teachers from Tasmanian secondary schools and colleges are warmly invited to visit The Grad Show 2022 on a Secondary School Field Trip.
- The field trips offer a special guided tour through the exhibition, featuring work from third year and Honours students, and immerses you in our inspiring learning and teaching spaces.
- Graduating students will deliver talks about their final projects and experiences, and invite questions about studying Fine Arts, Architecture and Design at the University of Tasmania.
- Field trips can be tailored to meet the interests of your group’s specific interests, from Year 9 to Year 12, and across all visual art and design disciplines.
- Financial assistance is available should your school group need to arrange transportation to, and from, our campuses at Hunter Street and Inveresk.

- Thinking about studying Fine Arts, Architecture or Design in 2023? Join us for a guided tour through The Grad Show 2022 featuring work from graduating third year and Honours students, and immerse yourself in our inspiring studio spaces.
- Across a range of studios, you'll encounter students who will talk about their final projects and study experience, and invite questions about studying Fine Arts, Architecture and Design at the University of Tasmania.
- Following our studio tour, join staff and students for a Q&A to learn more about our undergraduate courses, study opportunities and internships with the festivals, museums and cultural institutions which have put Tasmania on the world stage.
