Ways of Seeing Art with Light
Join us for a workshop on Gallery and Museum lighting. Learn how exhibition lighting can influence the meaning of the artwork. Look at the approach to lighting galleries versus museums, and factors such as conservation lighting that we need to consider. Explore dynamic exhibition lighting displays and how to increase the functionality of your gallery or museum lighting system.

Gallery Lighting Formats
Interpret art and architecture with light. Apply your foundation Light for Art learning to use optical story- telling to create the 5 Gallery Lighting formats: White Cube, Minimalist Accent, Dramatic Accent, Black Cube & Immersive.
Light for Museums
A foundation in lighting techniques for Museums. Introducing ERCO’s perception-oriented lighting prin- ciples, how colour IS light, lens technology, optics and controls, and their contribution to sustainability.
Contemporary Conservation Lighting
By understanding the damaging factors of Museum lighting we can protect sensitive materials in your collection from these effects. We consider the percep- tion of light, brightness ratios, contrast and adapta- tion paths to use less light, more effectively.
Dynamic Museum Displays with Casambi
Learn to use wireless controls for exhibition lighting. Curate lighting scenes, meet conservation lighting pa- rameters and create dynamic animations. Understand how Casambi aids conservation and sustainability through the use of motion sensors and the control of lux exposure hours.
