Engineering Pathways for Regional Australia

Outputs

The strategic output of this project will be piloting the learning platform for engineering (LPE). The platform necessitates key deliverables including:

  • A portfolio of cross-recognised units;
  • Agreed learning pathways and articulation;
  • The development of a bridge/portal which facilitates cross-institutional arrangements;
  • The development and delivery of blended learning resources shared by the partners; and
  • Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the pilot to inform future regional delivery models.

Rather than over extend the project and partners’ capacity, the pilot of the learning platform will initially deliver four pathways considered fundamental to improved access to para-professional and professional engineering education. The four pathways will be:

  1. Bridging VET to Associate Degree.
  2. Constructing an Associate degree (through shared resources).
  3. Articulation from the Associate Degree to partner’s Bachelor of Engineering (BE).
  4. Associate Degree to other bachelor choices offered by the partners (e.g. industrial technology and business/management).
