RM (Dick) & Joan Green were champions of cultural heritage and committed to preserving examples of Tasmania’s rich history.  The couple were key figures in the establishment and ongoing work of the National Trust in Tasmania and spent their lives supporting the arts and local community organisations.
This year, in honour of their parents, the family of Dick and Joan Green generously gifted a substantial selection of significant artworks, books, maps, plans and documents to the University of Tasmania.
The Green family’s gift is testament to Dick & Joan’s belief in the value of cultural collections and their wish for the collection to drive innovation in teaching and research.
