SIMMERING is an original work that explores the many ways that food is connected to our lives. Food not only sustains us but creates deep memories and emotion. When we share a meal, food can connect us, but the types of food we eat can also divide us. Food can make us happy, but also make us sick - affecting our physical health and our mental health. This work playfully explores these complex social, ethical, economic, and sensory dimensions of food.
