TUSA Food Hub – Launceston
The TUSA Food Hub is a weekly initiative providing affordable and free food support for UTAS students. We are open every Wednesday and Thursday 9 AM to 3 PM (excluding public holidays).
📍 Location: The Railway Cottage, Inveresk Campus, Launceston (near the roundabout on the corner of Invermay Rd and the carpark - look for the TUSA and Food Hub signs)

How does the ticketing system work?
- Students pre-book a ticket via QPay to access the Food Hub.
- Tickets are capped weekly to ensure fair distribution of food.
- Ticketed sessions are divided into 50-minute time slots, students must arrive during their allocated time. The Food Hub is closed for the last 10 minutes of each hour for stock checks.
- One ticket per student per week – no collecting for friends.
- After booking, students receive a ticket confirmation and collection details via email.
How much does it cost to access the Food Hub?
The Food Hub is a partially paid service for UTAS students. Registration is essential, and students must bring their UTAS ID card.

- Free Ticket: Access to fruit, vegetables, frozen items, unlimited bread, and the free items table.
- Basic Bundle ($5 donation): 5 pantry items, plus access to fruit, vegetables, frozen items unlimited bread, and the free items table.
- Premium Bundle ($8 donation): 8 pantry items, plus access to fruit, vegetables, frozen items, unlimited bread and the free items table.

We partner with OzHarvest, Loaves & Fishes, Foodbank Tasmania, & Gateway Life to source food, so stock availability varies weekly.
