Our multidisciplinary brings together experts from diverse fields and discipline such as ICT, psychology (clinical, health, organisational & clinical neuropsychology), business and public health. Projects

Carers’ CARE (Mobile App) to assist dementia carers’ coping resilience

Development of a Mobile App that delivers assistance and coping skills to dementia carers and enhances the capacity of Dementia Care Support Services.

Creative technologies to manage public health challenges of environmental change

Climate change is a significant and worldwide phenomenon that challenges us all. This project explores how technologies can be used to enhance physical health, mental resilience and manage public health implications in the face of global shifts in our environment. We are building and evaluating technology-enabled resources that have the potential to support individuals and the community to adjust to a range of climate change challenges that can affect both mental and physical health.

Body Image and Chronic Disease Adjustment

Explores the critical role that body image plays in individuals and couples coping with chronic disease adjustment. BI is examined in terms of the impact diagnosis and treatments has on sense of self and appearance satisfaction, as well as its association with coping and support processes.

Coping with neurological conditions

Understanding the difficulties associated with neurological conditions and how everyday functioning is affected in these conditions is important. We conduct projects that evaluate the differing perspectives of observers/carers and patients in neurological conditions.

ICT coping and support processes

Exploring the use of ICT to improve coping and support process in families coping with significant life stressors.
