Study Time Planner
Why do I need a Study Time Planner?
A Study Time Planner is a great way to help you navigate through your University studies in an organised way. Your Study Time Planner will be individual to you and will allow you to see where you can fit study into your life.
Complete your Study Time Planner
You will need to allow an average of 10 hours per week per unit of study. Start your Study Time Planner by building in your regular commitments: paid work, meals, sleep, and social activities like organised sport or time with friends.
Click on each activity icon and add it to your planner. Begin with activities that cannot be moved: paid work, meals, sleep, scheduled events. Be realistic about how much time you spend doing these activities. Now look at what blocks are left for study. This will assist you in determining how much time you can spend studying each week. Think about what times are best for studying for you – are you a morning or night person? Add your study hours to suit.
Make sure you also leave room for social activities, wellness and free time!
If you would like to discuss time management as part of your University journey please make an appointment to speak with one of our friendly Student Advisers.
You can print or save your Study Time Planner as a PDF for reference throughout the semester.
