Rosanne Receives a Tall Poppy Award

Staff at ACROSS would like to give their sincere congratulations to Rosanne Guijt, who received the Young Tall Poppy Science Award for 2012.

Roseanne currently develops and manufactures Lab on a Chip systems, with sample-in answer-out capabilities. This technology can offer many advances in the pharmaceutical industry such as portable laboratory analysis, therapeutic drug monitoring for personalised medicine, and greater water management efficiency.

While the Tall Poppies campaign commenced in 1998, it has only been operating in Tasmania since 2009. Since then, ACROSS has produced three Tall Poppies; Emily Hilder in 2009, Robert Shellie in 2011, and now Rosanne in 2012.

Congratulations to Rosanne for this excellent achievement, and we wish her all the best with future research.
