PhD candidate invited to present at ICELFS conference

PhD Candidate Loene Howes attended the 5th International Conference on Evidence Law and Forensic Science (ICELFS) in Adelaide in July.

Loene was invited to present a paper on 'Can forensic science ever be understood in the courtroom?'. During the conference, Loene had the opportunity to participate in workshops at the Supreme Court and take a tour of the laboratories at Forensic Science South Australia (FSSA). 

Loene is PhD Candidate with TILES and her research is on Communicating scientific expert opinion: What do forensic scientists say and what do police, lawyers, and judges hear?
