All teaching activities for this unit will be delivered online for 2021.
Introduction
This unit provides you with foundation level knowledge in bioscience. You will be introduced to the main function of key body systems and how these systems interact to maintain homeostasis. In addition, you will explore biological function at the chemical and cellular level. Through practical activities and a variety of methods, you will investigate the interaction between body systems and how biological function may be disrupted by a variety of diseases and disorders. You will actively expand your knowledge through active inquiry, reflection, critical thought, and engagement with an evidence base of academic sources.
