Teaching PatternEnsemble:
1 hr weekly supervised rehearsal;
2hr weekly self-directed rehearsal;
90 min weekly workshop.
Context:
1hr weekly context/history lecture supported by online content/modules;
Project based self-directed "context" ensemble.
AssessmentOngoing rehearsal effectiveness (e.g. peer review, observational review, workshop performances) (10%);
Workshop performance formative assessment (weeks 4/5) (10%);
Analysis and seminar presentation assessment (weeks 7/8) (30%);
Essay on historical content covered (end of semester) (20%);
End of semester performance of prepared works (30%).
