Introduction
In this unit students will further develop their leadership skills within their creative practice through a variety of activities. Students will engage in guided project/ensemble development as well as unsupervised workshops in which music leadership will be further developed through music direction, repertoire choices and team leadership.
Students will be assigned a small ensemble/team in which they will investigate creative practice through regular rehearsals/workshops and lessons that are designed to develop idiomatic specific creative outcomes. It is expected that students enrolled in this unit will additionally guide less experienced students and nurture a collaborative ensemble environment.
Students will perform or present works developed through either a folio or live/recorded performance.
