To enrol in this unit, students must meet honours/postgraduate course entry requirements (for example completion of a 300 credit point undergraduate degree with a major in a relevant discipline).
Introduction
Students enrolled in this unit will undertake a detailed course of study reviewing major aspects of music history and theory with particular emphasis on structure and analysis. Its purpose is to provide students with the background necessary to pursue quality postgraduate research in the areas of music history and theory.
