Note:

Full-time students will enrol in FSA424 and FSA425 concurrently in the same semester; and part-time students will enrol in FSA424 and FSA425 over two consecutive semesters.

Introduction

This unit provides practice-led honours students with skills in presenting their research for professional audiences and purposes. This unit explores the range of requirements for working ethically and professionally in the world and prepares the candidate for further academic study. The unit equips the candidate with a range of communication skills and requires engagement with a wider public. Recognising Honours as an important pathway into professional practice and academic research, this unit presents opportunities to develop a portfolio of written and presented works that communicates your research appropriate to the project you have chosen.

Assessment

Task 1: Artist statement, 500 words (20%)

Task 2: Documentation of public exhibition/ performance or equivalent public outcome, 5000 words (50%)

Task 3: Oral presentation, 15 minutes (30%)
