Introduction
This unit provides you with ideas, knowledge, and skills for research practice across a broad range of disciplines in creative arts and media. You will situate the concerns informing your research in the context of current theoretical ideas and critical debate in the creative arts and media, as well as identifying the key examples of creative practice that are relevant to your project. You will consider diverse cultural perspectives in how research frameworks are developed and applied. From individual studio-based projects in specific media through to collaborative and interdisciplinary projects, this unit introduces a range of methodologies that explore the relationship between making and research that will prepare you for a range of professional and academic outcomes.
