Introduction
This unit will explore feminist contributions to political philosophy, epistemology (the study of knowledge), ethics, and metaphysics (understandings of the nature of reality). We will examine whether and under what circumstances knowledge is gender-neutral, and whether (and when) the sex of the knower makes a difference. We will ask if women's moral assumptions and judgements actually differ from men's, and how this can inform a feminist politics.
