Learning Outcomes

  • Make research-led media. Develop a research-based framework to meet your fieldwork goals (eg: to understand how media shapes our perception of the world around us) and apply this knowledge to the production of a media project.
  • Build affiliations and cultural capital. The field trip enables students to develop networks within the group and with organisations and individuals in-country. Students will also pool knowledge and compare notes with others towards a shared fieldwork goal.
  • Navigate cultural norms & geographies. Develop your ability to respond respectfully and responsibly to the multiple perspectives, diverse communities and alternative norms encountered during the fieldwork.
