Social Work Practicum 2 HGW613

Introduction

Students are required to undertake a minimum of 500 hours of placement in a setting that is relevant to social work practice, in order to experience a range of practice processes and tasks. Field educators are allocated to each student and through supervision (provided by a social worker with a minimum of 2 years' full time equivalent post-graduation experience in the field), the theory of social work is integrated into practice. Students will be required to attend preparation seminars and a placement interview prior to commencing placement.
