On successful completion of this unit you will be able to:

  2. [Wellbeing] Interpret individual and collective narratives of identity, self, and meaning through contextualisation and consideration of popular musics.
  3. [Literacy] Identify, critically evaluate, and discuss modes of connectivity, communication, and interaction, within and across global and local cultures through the lens of popular music.

There are three (3) themes in this unit: Ethnicity and popular music (30%), Gender and popular music (30%), and Australian identity and popular music (40%). Within each theme, there is a choice of assessment topics. You choose ONE topic from each theme.
