Introduction
This unit develops professional competencies to assess environmental risks, select and implement management tools, processes and strategies to effectively control health, safety and environmental hazards, and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Topics covered in this unit include cultural competency, research methods, project management, program development and evaluation, organisational management, ethics, professional communication and professional development. This unit includes a professional experience placement component.
