Introduction
This unit provides the opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of physiology and physiological research techniques. The unit will take an in depth look into the applied nature of physiology in extreme conditions.
Physiological processes and whole body implications of exposure to a range of physiological stressors will be investigated and explored. These may include ultra endurance exercise, altitude/ environmental exposure and in obesity or metabolic syndrome. Students will be able to develop their research skills.
