Professional Experience Placement (PEP)

Students who cannot or do not comply with these requirements will not be allocated PEP and therefore will not be able to complete this unit.
Introduction
This is the second placement unit in an integrated sequence of placements in the clinical training program. The unit requires 300 to 350 hours of professional clinical experience and this is generally in an external placement setting (or settings) but on occasion may be at the University Psychology Clinic. Placement settings will encompass a range of client problems, varying age ranges, contexts, and use of a variety of clinical skills. This
placement provides an opportunity to experience a variety of client problems, and to develop more advanced clinical skills, working towards a level suitable for independent practice as a Registrar working toward Clinical endorsement.
