Introduction

Psychology in Context provides an overview of the way in which psychological theory is used in a variety of workplace and institutional environments. Specifically, this unit demonstrates the importance of psychological processes in relation to educational, legal/forensic and organisational settings. Students are required to undertake independent reading to develop their knowledge in the topics covered in the lecture programme. In the practical programme students will engage in a range of applied activities to develop their understanding of how these factors impact on human behaviour in these settings. Students will also develop skills in scientific writing, including referencing and formatting of psychology assignments.
