Learning Outcomes

ILO 1 Develop a sound knowledge of seagoing systems and their regulatory requirements to plan, manage, conduct and objectively review a range of seaborne operations.

ILO 2 Evaluate a range of performance characteristics using onboard systems following standard industrial procedures and critically assess the accuracy, reliability and authenticity of information used for this assessment.

ILO 3 Evaluate an existing design and develop alternative arrangements to improve the operation, inherent safety and environmental footprint of both a vessel and its systems.

ILO 4 Implementation of effective team membership and team leadership, driving all activities within accepted professional, safety and ethical standards.

ILO 5 Professionally communicate (written and oral) to a range of engineering and scientific personnel to form research and development activities and to present results post data analysis.
