This unit involves comprehending, analysing and evaluating the processes and practices which bring shipowners and cargo owners together in a contractual relationship for carrying cargo. The aim of this unit is to provide learners with a comprehensive sketch of the concepts, principles and practice which underpin the commercial employment of ships under charter arrangements.
