Families play a very important role supporting and advising children about further education opportunities. Family support and advice positively influences children’s choices about their own future.
Most children begin to make choices about broad career and post school education participation when they are in junior secondary school. Most outreach programs in Tasmania target older secondary children, with very few programs available to parents.
