The Workplace Research Centre (WRC) is one of Australia's leading research organisations on work and employment. The Director, Professor John Buchanan is an external advisor to our network.

Population Health Strategic Research Centre, Deakin University

Professor LaMontagne’s group aims to develop scientific and public understanding of work as a social determinant of health, and translate this research into policy and practice to improve workplace and worker health. We have several collaborative projects with his group in the area of work stress and mental health.

Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, University of Melbourne

We have links with three groups within the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health.

Academic Centre for Health Equity

Professor Oldenburg, Director, leads an international team on Dissemination and Implementation Science. We are collaborating with his group on workplace depression, dissemination and implementation of public health interventions, and improving work outcomes in cardiometabolic populations.

Population mental health group

Workplaces are considered an important setting by this group, led by Professor Anthony Jorm. Network members have collaborated with researchers from this group on the development of guidelines for organisations on the prevention of mental health problems in the workplace and PhD supervision for a project on tailoring the Mental Health First Aid program for delivery in workplaces.

McCaughey Centre for Community Wellbeing

The Work, Health and Wellbeing program aspires to a vision of healthy and sustainable work for all. Professor Tony LaMontagne (referred to above in the Deakin group) also leads staff in this group with whom we collaborating.

Judith Lumley Centre - LaTrobe University

The Judith Lumley Centre is a centre of public health research in the fields of mother and infant health, transition to contemporary parenthood, maternity care and family services in the early years, sexual and reproductive health, breastfeeding and reducing violence against women and children. Network members have collaborations with staff from the Centre in the area of the work-family interface and its implications for families, and workplace depression.
