Introduction

This unit develops an understanding of the emotional, intellectual, spiritual, interpersonal, social and environmental dimensions of health and wellness. The content focuses on social and emotional wellbeing (SEW) for both the student enrolled in this course and their potential students. SEW is closely related to concepts such as resilience and mental health and these concepts will be explored within an educational framework in this course. Knowledge of the social, emotional, spiritual and interpersonal dimensions will be applied to a range of health education topics, for example, drugs, resilience, and safety issues.
