LGBTIQ Issues in the Workplace Workshop

Associate Professor Angela Dwyer was invited to convene a workshop on ‘LGBTIQ issues in the Workplace’ as professional development for senior staff and managers developing a Diversity Framework for the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Tasmania. The workshop was run on 2nd November, and drew on the latest empirical research discussing the key issues for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people in contemporary workplaces.

The workshop was very well received and Associate Professor Dwyer has been invited to conduct similar workshops with other parts of the Department of Premier and Cabinet in the future.

Dr Angela Dwyer is an Associate Professor in Police Studies and Emergency Management, School of Social Sciences, University of Tasmania and is a Senior Researcher with the Tasmanian Institute of Law Enforcement Studies (TILES). Associate Professor Dwyer conducts research on the intersection between sexuality, gender diversity, and criminal justice and is lead editor of Queering Criminology.
