What a performance from the University of Tasmania at the UniSport Australia Nationals. Congratulations to all athletes who took part. We sent our largest team ever and came home with more medals than ever before.
Here is the low down on how we went:
Hockey
Hockey men won the Division 1 gold medal
Rowing
Sophie Robinson won gold in the light weight women's single scull and Molly McCausland won silver in the Women's Single
Sailing
The sailing team made it back to back Champions (pictured above)
Judo
Joseph Cruse won gold
Lisa Svenby won silver
Ultimate frisbee
The team smashed their debut and won silver
Squash
Our squash team took out the bronze
Soccer
Our soccer team won division 2 bronze
Basketball
The Men's team won their first five matches and finished off in style to claim 7th out of 36 teams.
Waterpolo
Men's team finished 6th overall
Netball
Our team won their last three games which was a huge effort after a number of injuries.
