Introduction
This is a core unit designed to (i) promote knowledge and understanding of English language skills and techniques (ii) develop content knowledge, subject didactic knowledge and knowledge about academic learning and practice in preparation to fit the pedagogical requirements of tertiary study (iii) expand student involvement in critical discourse (iv) develop oral language and leadership skills through active participation in group assignments and presentations for future study at the University of Tasmania.
