Courses & Units
Comparative Business Contexts BMA702
Introduction
This unit is designed to offer students an immersive learning experience and to test assumptions about the operation of organisations in different contexts. Students are offered an opportunity to explore different social, cultural, and behavioural dimensions of business through site visits in Tasmania, the Australian mainland or overseas.
It is expected that students will attend all scheduled on-campus and off-campus activities. Students will be required to employ reflective practice to critically explore managerial practices, leadership approaches and operational mechanisms given complex external and internal characteristics of organisations in commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors across different contexts.
This unit also offers students the opportunity to explore topics of interest associated with research projects as part of the full-time MBA (37O1) and Executive MBA (37O2) courses.
