EUS014
Foundation Mathematics 2 covers essential concepts and skills in mathematics
and algebra as a preparation for University degree subjects with a basic mathematical
component such as Business Studies, Economics, Finance, Geography, Health Science
and Psycho
logy. It builds on the concepts developed in the EUS013 Foundation
Mathematics 1 course and applies them to the fields of Trigonometry,
Vector and
Matrix Algebra,
Differential Calculus, Probability and Statistics.

Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge of conventional basic mathematical and algebraic notation and terminology.
- Identify and apply appropriate mathematical techniques in order to solve problems given in a variety of formats.
- Present logical solutions to mathematical problems using conventional mathematical and algebraic notation and terminology.
- Demonstrate effective study skills by maintaining a workbook covering the key components in the course and identifying and seeking assistance in areas that require clarification.
