Foundations of Bioscience XAB083
Introduction
This unit provides you with foundation level knowledge in bioscience. You will be introduced to the main function of key body systems and how these systems interact to maintain homeostasis. In addition, you will explore biological function at the chemical and cellular level. Through practical activities and a variety of methods, you will examine human anatomy and physiology and investigate the links between the structure and function of the eleven body systems. You will expand your knowledge through active inquiry, reflection, critical thought, and engagement with an evidence base of academic sources.
