Program Management ZAX107
Introduction
Effective construction program management is fundamental to controlling resources across a company’s schedule of works, and delivering multiple projects and activities within a defined program budget. In this unit you will be introduced to common tools and methods for planning and sequencing construction work at an organisational level, and the challenges of sharing and scheduling resources (equipment, expertise) between multiple requirements. Through applied activities, you will learn about processes for planning and coordinating construction operations, negotiating between different project needs, and monitoring progress within a WHS framework. This unit will further develop your skills in planning, communication, critical thinking and problem solving.

Learning Outcomes
- Identify and explain critical and non-critical path activities in construction programs.
- Identify and evaluate plant, services, materials and WHS requirements and lead times within a construction program.
- Apply stages, methods and tools for planning and coordinating construction operations.
- Evaluate methods for monitoring construction operations.
- Demonstrate and reflect on conflict resolution skills and capacity to negotiate between competing workplace needs, deadlines and agendas.
