Introduction

Students selected into one of the following Faculty of Education Honours courses, B.Ed(Hons), B.Ed (Primary)(Hons), B.Ed (Early Childhood) (Hons) course will undertake this unit.

This unit is the second in a sequence that aims to prepare and assist students in undertaking a substantial sustained piece of educational research. Students who complete this unit successfully will have: implemented a research design observing the appropriate ethical guidelines and constraints; completed planned data generation and data analysis relevant to the research design; completed a substantial written report (12,000-15,000 words) that is presented with due observance of the standards of academic writing and presentation; and made a public presentation of the completed research project.
