Introduction
Music Materials 2 continues study of the materials of tonal music through the study of diatonicism, and introduces chromatic harmony through reading, written exercises and aural skills. The study of musical forms will be introduced through contextual and theoretical analysis of works in the literature. Students will advance their understanding of the correlation between written notation and aural awareness, through exercises in sight-reading, dictation and identification of musical elements.
